A trip discussed around many a campfire and for many a year at long last became a reality.

Embarking on our adventure to Isle Royale National Park was a journey that began with the majestic crossing of the vast and awe-inspiring Lake Superior. Our anticipation built as we loaded our backpacks onto the Isle Royale Queen IV in the crisp, cool air to finally cast off from Copper Harbor at sunrise. Superior's deep blue expanse set the stage for an unforgettable experience, offering all of us the much needed isolation from the urban grind and a deep dive into the wilderness. If you know, you know… crossing Superior to Isle Royale is a symbolic rite of passage for every hiker. And sure enough, and as fully expected, once on the serene beauty of the trails and around the campfires we individually rediscovered that profound sense of peace and restorative power that’s only delivered by nature's grandeur in the company of best friends.
